The GTX's original steering wheel was, well, a little ugly. The previous owner re-covered the rim (pretty well, I might add- it's actually stitched all the way around), but I've never been crazy about the two-spoke design, the horn buttons' positioning, or the large diameter.

So I bought a new 360mm black Classic Nardi wheel with grey stitching.

It took about four weeks for it to get here from Italy, but it was very much worth the wait. The leather feels impossibly soft. The black spokes match the rest of my black/grey interior quite well. The slightly smaller diameter makes getting the wheel to lock much easier & faster. On the whole, it's making the driving experience much more enjoyable.

Now I just need to do something about this shift knob.

That wheel is beautiful! I can't wait to snag a Nardi for my Z.

Thank you! My 2002 Miata has a Nardi-designed factory wheel that is the best steering wheel I've ever used. It's as if the wheel was molded to my hands. The great experience I've had with that wheel has made me a loyal Nardi customer.

Looks good! I found myself debating spending a pretty penny on a steering wheel but when it's something you have to look at and feel everytime you drive the car, it's definitely worth it.

Also, let's see that gauge cluster lit up!

Thanks! That's my line of thought, too.

Here's the dashboard sitting at an idle:

And here it is with everything lit up (notice the boost gauge in the center of the tach):

It's fun. Looks cool at night. :)

Hell yes, probably not that practical but I don't think it would ever get old looking at it. Is 8000 the redline?!

6500rpm redline. The tach's scale is weird, check it out:

That cluster is awesome! Why can't my ST have something like that??

Because your ST was not a child of the 80's. Enjoy your airbags. ;)

I'm willing to trade you two of my four airbags for your dash.
